Tons to dive into here for book lovers. Issue Three arrives in fuchsia. In its pages: medieval wind power, Forensic Architecture, Climate commentary as tragedy & farce, fashionable fascism, Ukrainian jokes, romance in Kuala Lumpur, words and worlds found in translation. Who guards the dream of Europe?
It is a reading experience unto itself, designed like nothing else. The ERB’s print designer, Patrick Doan, gave the magazine a distinctive, layered form. TURN the pages to read, but CUT the pages — easily done with a finger — to open a second layer, where you’ll find shorter essays, asides, and the occasional language game.
Rem Koolhaas on Mies van der Rohe, Sarah Watling on Edda Mussolini, Fernanda Eberstadt on the crime-solving programmers & botanists of Forensic Architecture. Death in philosophy & biology, and a lively tragic optimism for a doomed planet. Ukrainian jokes, romance in Kuala Lumpur and a defense of global Englisch: words & worlds found in translation. All with the ERB’s remarkable print design: turn the pages to read, but cut the pages for a second layer of depth and digression.
The European Review of Books is a magazine of culture and ideas, in print and online, in English and in a writer’s own tongue.

Disko is in Cambridge, Ontario. It's about an hour west of Toronto. We're specifically located in the Galt area, which is a beautiful old downtown with nice shops. It's worth the drive.
