A Brazilian prefab in a leafy setting, the creative genius of Álvaro Siza, interview to Doriana and Massimiliano Fuksas. Lighting, furnishings and complements: the latest ideas. On the newsstands from Wednesday 21 August

The new issue of Abitare is on the newsstands from tomorrow Wednesday 21 August. Highlights include the National Archives in Hangzhou that Wang Shu and Lu Wenyu, of Amateur Studio, have designed as a sequence of buildings; the large mural by the Franco-Tunisian artist eL Seed at HangarBicocca in Milan; Álvaro Siza‘s architecture recounted in a book through an amusing dialogue between the master’s sketches and Duccio Malagamba‘s photographs. Interview with Doriana and Massimiliano Fuksas, who predict the disappearance of the figure of the architect, replaced by algorithms. Among the houses, the strong personality of Rodrigo Ohtake‘s prefabricated home near São Paulo; the hut in the Bahamas designed by Brillhart Architects inspired by Creole constructions; the contamination of eras and styles in Audrey Magne‘s residence in Paris; the sustainable solutions and brutalist aesthetics of the villa built in Noto by Gaëtan Le Penhuel‘s studio.
