Kul Tekst is a fine arts magazine founded in September 2024 by students from the University of Waterloo’s Fine Arts Department as a way to further unify our small but passionate community. Working together, we have been able to create opportunities for ourselves and other emerging artists in the region, conducting industry interviews, sharing advice, and hosting local community-building events. Now an independent magazine, we aim to continue to be a local source for critical writing about the arts, as well as a platform for young artists in Waterloo Region to be recognized and heard.
