About Life is a Cabaret:
“Life is a Cabaret” documents conversations spun from Elise’s couch as Shalaka, Elise, and Natalie shared a blanket while watching Cabaret (1972).
About the creators:
Shalaka, Elise, and Natalie are cultural workers raised by the suburbs, currently based in Kitchener, ON. Equipped with a haphazard set of skills and interests, they began this project with a curiosity of exploring oral storytelling traditions across their families, reflecting on their creative practices in a time of converging crises.

Where are we?
Disko is in Cambridge, Ontario. It's about an hour west of Toronto. We're specifically located in the Galt area, which is a beautiful old downtown with nice shops. It's worth the drive.
